The General Meeting on Wednesday, January 23rd was well attended. President Don Raun presented ideas for the members to vote on regarding what workshops you would like in the future. Thanks to all the members who completed our Workshop survey. A committee will be compiling the results and we will have a report for you soon and recommendations for new workshops!
Dick Travis also gave a presentation of "Flip Album", a software program that produces slideshows and presents your pictures in an Album format.
The club wishes to thank the Travel Club for their generous donation of $100. It was their way of showing appreciation for what the Club does for the Community. Also, the Bridge Club has donated $25 this quarter, they consistently donate $100 a year to our club. We appreciate this greatly!

March Meeting: June Porto, Mira Costa College presented an excellent presentation on Microsoft's Excel program at the March 27th General Meeting of the Computer Club. Her presentation was appreciated by the crowd with many practical questions asked. Thanks again, June, for your expertise.

April Meeting: The April 24th General Meeting was to have had Jim Jones of the Oceanside Library Computer Center, however he could not make the meeting.
Don Raun and Rex Christenson presented an interesting program on Firewalls. They spoke on how to secure your computer from hackers. Many questions from the audience were answered. Thanks to their personal knowledge of Firewalls, the membership is now aware of the vulnerabilities to their computer systems and how to set up a Firewall system to protect its assets.
The June 26th General Meeting featured an excellent presentation by the Community National Bank of their On-Line Banking & Investment System.
Nadia Lee, with assistance from Cher & Steve from Cadence Investments showed our members the ease in which you can keep your banking and investments current, accurate and up-to-date.
Many questions were asked and the interested group certainly appreciated the educational value of learning how easy it is to use your computer to keep your banking and investment information current.
September Meeting

Larry Piland and Matt Shirley (Datel Systems, Inc.) and KFMB Radio (760AM) presented an excellent presentation to a packed house at the September 25th General Meeting of the Computer Club. Their expertise in Windows XP operating systems and their user-friendly topics were very much appreciated by the members.

October Meeting
Debbie Barnett from the Oceanside Police Department presented an excellent presentation on Internet Fraud to the October 23rd General Meeting of the Computer Club. She was very informative and offered us many tips on how to protect our privacy on the internet as well as to be aware of the internet frauds that are especially vulnerable to senior citizens.
Many questions from the crowd were answered by Debbie. We thank her for taking the time to inform our club.
