June Meeting

Dick and Peggy Canning provided the General Program in June, speaking on writing and publishing books. Together, the Canning's have had several books published on varied topics including Nutrition, Memory Self Help and Family Memoirs. Peggy encouraged us to collect family stories from siblings and related family members and compile them into books to share with relatives. Both Dick and Peggy have done this with their own extended families.

A most interesting topic that was addressed was publishing via Print on Demand, an internet publisher who will print copies of books to order and will mail them to the customer. If you are a budding author, this might be of interest. The Canning's have a web site, www.retiredlifefun.com with several links to their publications. If you missed their presentation you will enjoy reviewing this web site.
